About Us

The decision of choosing a counselor and beginning the processes of introspection, self-evaluation and behavioral change is serious. As Dr. Brené Brown wrote, “Owning our story and loving ourselves through that process is one of the bravest things we will ever do.” I am dedicated to helping you on your unique journey. At some point in our story we each need connection and support. I can be that connection and support, and would consider it an honor to walk a part of your path with you.

I employ a positive, solutions-focused approach with a whole person perspective. My methods are humanistic-based, with cognitive behavioral and insight-oriented interventions. I use comprehensive bio-psychosocial-spiritual assessment tools to create a treatment plan that utilizes your inherent strengths. My goal is to partner with you in identifying and addressing the obstacles that prevent growth and forward movement. By this approach we can address such problems as couples conflicts, anger management, parenting dilemmas, male issues, bullying in school and/or workplace, anxiety, and depression.

I take a collaborative approach to therapy, believing that you are the expert of your life. My philosophy is that healing and change only occur when a client’s own strengths and skills are identified and utilized in treatment planning and application. My goal is to assist you in finding greater harmony and balance in your life with methods that mesh with your own belief system. I’m also passionate about helping individuals make peace with their emotions. Emotions are not our enemy, even though they may feel that way at times. They can be wise guides who provide greater clarity when we work with them rather than fight against them.
